Preah Vihear is quite a big northern province of Cambodia. Its capital is called Phnom Tbeng Meanchey. The province itself is named after the temple of Prasat Preah Vihear, what is definitely the hotspot of this province. Much of the province is extremely remote and strongly forested. Unfortunately do large logging companies reduce the natural landscape by carving huge tracts of pristine tropical hardwoods out of the locations. It is also one of the least populated provinces in the Kingdom of Cambodia. This tranquil site is popular for the Preah Vihear temple, standing in the vicinity of the borderline between Thailand and Cambodia.
Day 1: Phnom Penh- Anlong Veng- Preah Vihea (B, L, D)
In the morning pick up guest from the hotel, a departure from Phnom Penh to Preh Vihea, we have trough 3 provinces such as Kompong Cham, Siem Reap, and Oddar Meanchhey province. Departure from Phnom Penh we will have breakfast at Kompong Cham province and have lunch at Siem Reap province. And then we continue to Anlong Veng which located with Cambodia and Thai border and we visit The Cultural Site of the Khmer Rouge called Tamuk House, which displays statues depicting the lifestyle and troop arrangement of Khmer Rouge during the period of their struggle against the Royal Government. This area had been organized and controlled by Khmer Rouge from 1979 to the end of 1997. After that, we have dinner at a local restaurant and come back to the hotel.
Day 2: Preah Vihea- Siem Reap (B, L, D)
Have breakfast at the hotel, we start a tour to visit Preah Vihea Temple, is a Khmer temple situated atop Pey Tadi, a 525-meter (1720 ft) cliff in the Dangrek Mountains located in the Preah Vihear Province of northern Cambodia. The temple gives its name to Cambodia’s Preah Vihear province and is 140 km from Angkor Wat. Have lunch at a local restaurant and late afternoon come back to Siem Reap, have dinner at a local restaurant, overnight at Siem Reap.
Day 3: Angkor Thom Complex & Angkor Wat Temple (B, L, D)
Pick up guest from the hotel and start a tour to Angkor Thom Complex was the last state temple to be built at Angkor, and the only Angkorian state temple to be built primarily as a Mahayana Buddhist shrine dedicated to the Buddha. It is a 3 square-kilometer walled and moated royal city and was the capital of the Angkorian empire. And continue to visit Taprom Temple, a Bayon style temple is believed to be built in the late twelfth and early thirteenth centuries. It was founded by King Jayavarman VII as a Mahayana Buddhist monastery and university. Taprom Temple is a superior sample, have made it one of Angkor’s most popular temples with visitors. We have lunch at a local restaurant and continue to visit Angkor Wat Temple, Angkor is one of the most important archaeological sites in South-East Asia. Stretching over some 400 km2, including forested area, Angkor Archaeological Park contains the magnificent remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire, from the 9th to the 15th century. Then Visit Bakheng Hill, Phnom Bakheng is located 1,30 meters (4,265 feet) north of Angkor Wat and 400 meters (1,312 feet) south of Angkor Thom. Then transfer to have dinner with Apsara Dancing Performance at Local restaurant in the town and back hotel.
Day 4: Tonle Sap Lake – Departure (B, L)
After breakfast at the hotel, start to Tonle Sap Lake to enjoy a boat trip at Floating Village to see the living life of Cambodia people. And then, free shopping at Local Market. It is the main traditional market in Siem Reap, Cambodia where you can find everything from fresh meat, fruits and vegetables, rice, clothing and etc. Have lunch at a local restaurant, after back to Phnom Penh.
